Following the suspicion of highly pathogenic avian influenza with rapidly increasing mortality in commercial poultry at a premises near Nafferton, East Riding of Yorkshire, Yorkshire, 3km and 10km temporary control zones (TCZs) have been put in place pending further testing.
The birds on the suspect premises will be humanely culled.
All bird keepers should remain vigilant and follow stringent biosecurity measures to prevent future outbreaks.
