Highly pathogenic avian influenza H5N1 has been confirmed at a large commercial poultry premises near Thorne, Doncaster, South Yorkshire. A 3km Protection Zone and 10km Surveillance Zone have been put in place around the premises. Please check GOV.UK for further information about this case.

An Avian Influenza Prevention Zone (AIPZ) with mandatory housing measures is in place in England. All bird keepers must remain vigilant & follow the stringent AIPZ mandatory biosecurity measures, which are also in force across Great Britain, in addition to following any Protection or Surveillance Zone restrictions in their area.
