In addition, due to the increased risk of avian influenza from wild birds, housing measures are now in place across Hambleton, Harrogate and Richmondshire Districts. It’s vital that all bird keepers immediately house their birds and follow the new enhanced mandatory biosecurity guidance, as failure to do so could result in more cases. This applies to all bird keepers whether kept commercially or as pets. More information is available on GOV.UK at: https://www.gov.uk/guidance/avian-influenza-bird-flu
